About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our fitness centers, including maintenance, repairs, and overall facility management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee general cleaning and maintenance of interior and exterior facilities to ensure quality standards are met and maintained in adherence to all state, local laws and CDC guidelines.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance audits with the Director to determine the status of punch list projects.
  • Supervise, schedule, and inspect maintenance/cleaning staff and/or cleaning subcontractors.
  • Competently handle chemicals, cleaning solutions, and related materials to ensure safety of self, staff, guests, and members.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance and document repairs in the maintenance log, including all equipment pieces/parts.
  • Repair equipment immediately upon breakage, including ordering parts and using express delivery when necessary.
  • Remain on-call during off-schedule hours and report immediately upon notification of facility emergencies.
  • Conduct all electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs not requiring a certified technician.
  • Perform all minor carpentry, painting, and construction work.
  • Maintain proper lighting for center facilities through constant monitoring and anticipation of lighting replacement needs.
  • Work in conjunction with subcontractors to properly maintain pool equipment and testing log.
  • Remove and replace pool bubble cover seasonally with frequent monitoring during weather storms for damage assessment and repairs needs (if applicable).
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and general maintenance of grounds and accessibility of parking lots.
  • Maintain proper records and administration of invoices, project bids, and work orders. Inspect timely and satisfactorily completion.
  • Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies, paper products at competitive pricing within budget allowances and using company preferred vendors.
  • May also be asked to pick up supplies, parts, and/or other items determined necessary for the maintenance/safety of center facilities and equipment, upon request and under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Ongoing inspection of facilities on a daily basis to eliminate potential risk and danger of safety hazards.
  • Assist the Executive Director in the production and execution of an annual capital reinvestment plan.
  • Attend weekly Managers meeting to promote quality team management of center facilities and operations.
  • Actively participate in quarterly safety inspections and audits (walk-through).
  • Assume Manager On Duty shifts (MOD).
  • Attend all safety committee meetings, training's, and at the discretion of the Executive Director may assume responsible for coordinating/facilitating meetings and any additional safety projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Preferably, 2 to 5 years in construction, painting, interior physical plant, and exterior grounds general maintenance/repairs, understanding of HVAC systems, general cleaning, light plumbing, and electrical, experience keeping a variety of equipment in good working order and ability to replace parts, belts, etc. on fitness equipment.
  • Supervised others with ability to effectively communicate, motivate, problem solve, and resolve conflicts in a timely fashion.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel).
