Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management and Building Operations: Develop, implement, and revise building maintenance services policies and programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective facility functions.
- Deferred Maintenance Program: Prepare, prioritize, and manage the College's deferred maintenance program, working closely with internal partners and external consultants to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Energy Conservation and Sustainability Programs: Develop recommendations for building and facilities modifications to enhance energy conservation, working with community members and the Environmental Health and Safety Office to implement conservation measures.
- Budget Oversight: Oversee and develop the annual preparation and submission of the departmental and deferred maintenance budgets, managing budgets within established parameters and prioritizing institutional goals.
- Staff Oversight: Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff, setting and aligning departmental and staff goals with those of the college and motivating staff to achieve objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Building Sciences, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience: Ten (10) years of facilities operations experience, preferably in a higher education setting, and five (5) years of direct supervisory experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with various constituencies, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and experience with Microsoft Office, particularly database applications, word processing, and spreadsheets.
