Biomedical Equipment Technician I

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) is a key member of our clinical equipment services team, reporting to TriMedx management. This role involves the validation and inspection of clinical equipment, performing maintenance inspections, calibrations, and repairs. The BMET I also assists in troubleshooting complex equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform performance assurance inspections, maintenance, and repairs on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment databases, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Conduct periodic inventory inspections and make recommendations to optimize equipment utilization and reduce costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team's goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to interpret error codes and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Associate's degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed to support customer sites and company operations.
