Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Test Equipment Specialist to join our team at 246 Flextronics America, LLC. As a Test Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test electronic products, components, and systems for electrical continuity and function on various test platforms and static/dynamic stress chambers.
  • Verify product seal integrity using fluids in leak testing procedures and determine if the product passes based on pressure dropping test procedures.
  • Conduct destructive tests to determine if the bonding process is proper and completed, and stop the production line if any product fails the destructive test requirements.
  • Determine if the designated product passes all test cycles, collect diagnostic information to isolate any product failure, and enter test yield data into the statistical process control system.
  • Notify the quality engineer if test yields drop below acceptable levels.
  • Inspect products for correct placement and orientation of untested components, physical damage, or contamination.
  • Apply test marks on all electronics that pass the test and run tester diagnostics at specified intervals.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on testers, chambers, fixtures, carrier cards, etc., at specified intervals.
  • May train others on test procedures and equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Successful completion of company-provided training may be required.
  • Typically requires 2 years of test operator or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated manufacturing line skills and knowledge.
  • Awareness of Flex technologies and techniques.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively present information to other employees, leads, and supervisors.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work that requires repetitive motion and is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical equipment.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, occasionally required to walk, sit, handle small components, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with the aid of a handcart.
