The Test Equipment Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic products by conducting thorough testing and inspection procedures. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct electrical continuity and function tests on electronic products, components, and systems using various test platforms and static/dynamic stress chambers.
- Perform leak testing procedures to ensure product seal integrity and determine if the product passes based on pressure dropping test procedures.
- Test products using destructive test processes to determine if the bonding process is proper and completed, and stop the production line if any product fails the destructive test requirements.
- Determine if the designated product passes all test cycles, collect diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure, and enter test yield data into the appropriate statistical process control system.
- Notify the quality engineer if test yields drop below acceptable levels and inspect products for correct placement and orientation of untested components.
- Inspect products for any physical damage or contamination and place the appropriate test marks on all electronics that pass the test.
- Run tester diagnostics at specified intervals and perform routine preventive maintenance at specified intervals on testers, chambers, fixtures, carrier cards, etc.
- May train others and demonstrate manufacturing line skills, detailed manufacturing line knowledge, and lead process.
- Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred, and successful completion of company-provided training may be required.
- Typically requires 2 years of test operator or related experience.

- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work that requires repetitive motion and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical equipment.

The employee is regularly required to stand, occasionally required to walk, sit, handle small components, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with the aid of a handcart.
