Overview

Position Summary

The Regional Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will oversee nursing operations across three hospitals within the St. Mary's Health Care System in Georgia. This role is integral to the Regional Health Ministry's senior leadership team, providing both clinical and administrative guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Uphold and embody the Mission, Vision, and Values of Trinity Health in all actions and decisions.
2. Actively participate in strategic planning and organizational decision-making as a senior leadership team member.
3. Develop and implement nursing's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals to enhance patient care services.
4. Collaborate with leadership to create and manage operating and capital budgets.
5. Establish ongoing performance measures to evaluate nursing operations and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
6. Foster a culture of shared leadership and decision-making among nursing staff.
7. Engage in the selection and integration of healthcare technologies that support patient care.
8. Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer to develop evidence-based programs aimed at improving patient safety and care quality.
9. Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding achievements and challenges in patient care.

Qualifications

- Valid State Registered Nursing license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration (Doctoral education preferred).
- Minimum of five years of executive or director-level experience in patient care within an acute care setting.
- Advanced knowledge of nursing practices, with relevant certifications required within 18 months of hire.
- Membership in a professional nursing organization.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and electronic medical records.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
