POSITION PURPOSE
The Regional Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will oversee nursing operations across multiple facilities within our healthcare system. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the CNO will provide strategic and clinical direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in alignment with established standards.
Essential Functions
Demonstrates commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Trinity Health in all professional activities.
Engages in strategic planning and organizational decision-making as part of the senior leadership team. Develops and implements nursing strategies, goals, and standards for patient care services.
Collaborates with leadership to create and manage operating and capital budgets effectively.
Implements performance measures and evaluation methods to ensure quality and productivity targets are met.
Ensures adequate staffing and competency development to maintain high standards of patient care.
Fosters an environment of shared leadership and engagement among nursing staff.
Participates in the selection and integration of healthcare technologies that enhance patient care.
In partnership with medical leadership, develops and directs evidence-based programs aimed at improving patient safety and care quality.
Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and standards set by relevant authorities.
Maintains regular communication with senior leaders and stakeholders regarding patient safety, quality metrics, and staff engagement.

Active State Registered Nursing license.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration preferred. Doctoral education is a plus.
A minimum of five years of executive or director-level experience in an acute care setting.
Advanced knowledge of nursing practices and relevant certifications required within a specified timeframe.
Membership in a professional nursing organization is encouraged.
Comprehensive understanding of healthcare technology and regulations.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
Strong analytical skills to interpret clinical and financial data.
Excellent communication skills to lead and support staff and stakeholders.
