POSITION PURPOSE

The Regional Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will oversee nursing operations across multiple facilities within the health system. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the CNO will provide both clinical and administrative guidance to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with professional standards.

Essential Functions

1. Embrace and embody the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in all actions and decisions.

2. Actively participate in the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, execution, and organizational decision-making.

3. Develop and implement nursing goals, standards of care, and operational plans to enhance patient care services.

4. Collaborate with leadership in the formulation of operating and capital budgets.

5. Establish ongoing performance measures to evaluate budgetary and productivity outcomes.

6. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and competencies to maintain high-quality patient care.

7. Lead recruitment, retention, and development initiatives for nursing staff and leadership.

8. Participate in the selection and integration of healthcare technologies that support patient care.

9. Collaborate with medical and quality officers to implement evidence-based programs aimed at improving patient care quality and safety.

10. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards set by regulatory and accreditation bodies.

11. Maintain open communication with senior leaders and stakeholders regarding patient safety, quality, and satisfaction metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Active State Registered Nursing license.

2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration; Doctoral education preferred.

3. Minimum of five years of executive or director-level leadership experience in patient care within an acute care environment.

4. Advanced knowledge of nursing practice, evidenced by relevant certifications.

5. Membership in a professional nursing organization.

6. Comprehensive understanding of Electronic Medical Records and clinical informatics.

7. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and laws.

8. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.

9. Strong analytical skills for interpreting clinical and financial data.

10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for leadership and guidance.
