If you are a Licensed Florida Building Inspector looking to elevate your career in forensic structural evaluations and inspections, our Building Inspector role presents a fulfilling opportunity to work with esteemed clients in South Florida. You will be tasked with performing inspections and site evaluations on restoration projects for both low-rise and high-rise structures. Additionally, you will manage documentation and prepare daily field reports as necessary.

This position operates under a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Additional Duties Include:

  • Reviewing relevant plans and specifications.
  • Inspecting and/or observing conditions related to restoration work.
  • Documenting conditions, including daily field reports.
  • Coordinating with Supervisors and/or designated NV5 Engineers.
  • Overseeing restoration activities on various building components such as cast-in-place concrete, post-tension reinforcing, concrete masonry unit construction, and waterproofing.

Qualifications

We encourage applications from candidates with the following experience and qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in building inspection, including new construction, forensic evaluations, and concrete restoration services.
  • A Florida General Contractor (GC) license is a plus.
  • A degree in Engineering or Architecture is advantageous.
  • OSHA Certification is beneficial.
