If you are a Licensed Florida Building Inspector looking to advance your career in forensic structural evaluations and inspections, our Building Inspector position offers a fulfilling opportunity to work with esteemed clients in South Florida. You will be tasked with performing inspections and site evaluations on restoration projects for both low-rise and high-rise buildings. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining documentation and preparing daily field reports as necessary.
This position operates under a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine relevant plans and specifications.
- Conduct inspections and/or monitor conditions related to restoration efforts.
- Document findings, including daily field reports.
- Collaborate with Supervisors and/or designated NV5 Engineers.
- Oversee restoration activities on various building elements, including cast-in-place concrete, post-tension reinforcing, concrete masonry unit construction, and waterproofing.
Qualifications
We invite candidates with the following experience and qualifications to apply:
- Over 10 years of experience in building inspections, including new construction, forensic evaluations, and concrete restoration services.
- A Florida General Contractor (GC) license is a plus.
- A degree in Engineering or Architecture is advantageous.
- OSHA Certification is beneficial.
