Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of aviation components through meticulous inspections and adherence to established technical guidelines.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of parts, assemblies, and completed products to verify compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Execute complex inspection methodologies and analyze test results effectively.
  • Oversee work orders and track project advancements.
  • Evaluate incoming materials and components through rigorous testing.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports while upholding quality benchmarks.
  • Reduce production rework and minimize downtime through proactive quality measures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exhibit flexibility to work additional hours, including weekends, as necessary.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of pertinent experience in an FAA Part 145 repair facility, with at least four years in an inspection role.
  • Two years of experience specifically inspecting engine components.
  • Two years of experience in dimensional inspection practices.

Certifications: An Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong computer skills.
  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of liquid penetrant and radiographic inspection techniques.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to mechanical components, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
