ActiveCampaign is seeking a Director of Enterprise Project Management to spearhead the establishment of our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). The primary goal of the EPMO is to guarantee that strategic, cross-departmental programs and projects are executed proficiently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with the formation of the EPMO, employing industry-leading project management practices, standards, and tools. A proven history of managing substantial, organization-wide projects is essential, particularly in areas such as digital transformations, market entry strategies, and integration of acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a center of excellence for the EPMO that aligns with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards, quality benchmarks, and corporate strategy.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain comprehensive project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring clear communication of interdependencies and critical path activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and execution through the creation and oversight of integrated project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources across the organization to maximize efficiency and minimize conflicts.
  • Lead discussions on project strategies, planning, resource constraints, and proactively identify complex project challenges and risks.
  • Ensure the organization meets its business objectives, effectively managing change and maintaining transparency through KPI reporting and other communications.
  • Implement efficiencies that align with financial expectations set at project initiation.
  • Oversee the overall EPMO project portfolio.
  • Monitor compliance with project policies and standards, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Manage project deliverables and tasks effectively.
  • Support and develop the EPMO by assessing staffing needs, establishing professional development plans, and mentoring team members.
  • Recruit, manage, and coach direct reports to optimize performance, balancing program scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Coordinate deliverables with project managers and other stakeholders while supporting contractors and reporting structures.
  • Report progress and performance of the EPMO to the executive team.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate proposals based on potential value, impact, and strategic alignment.
  • Identify project priorities, address challenges, and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional team members to foster a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in project and program management with increasing responsibilities.
  • PMP or PJMP certification is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and strategic projects at the enterprise level.
  • Proficient in managing project deliverables and adhering to timelines.
  • Adept at analyzing complex activities to guide decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Experience with project management software tools.
  • Expertise in managing enterprise-level digital transformations and strategic programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of project and change management methodologies.
  • Ability to manage budgets, costs, and profitability effectively.
  • Strong resource management skills and familiarity with relevant tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering relationships with project managers, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating projects, programs, and portfolios.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior project managers.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing high-performing teams.
