The Civil Engineer - Project Manager plays a pivotal role in our most esteemed municipal initiatives, ensuring their successful execution from initial concept through to completion. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you will need to not only understand clients' requirements but also convey those needs effectively to your team. Building collaborative relationships with both clients and staff is crucial for success in this essential role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design initiatives for municipal and private sector projects.
  • Develop designs for civil engineering projects, including site planning, water supply systems, sanitary sewer systems, stormwater management, roadways, and other public and private development projects.
  • Prepare project scopes and proposals, manage project timelines, and spearhead design efforts for municipal and private sector projects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to monitor project budgets effectively, supervise project teams, and fulfill client expectations.
  • Collect and analyze data related to municipal projects, producing reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction operations across various project types.
  • Expand our client network and promote additional services.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain within one year.
  • Progressive experience in managing municipal projects, preferably within Wisconsin, with a proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, funding entities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience in client development and securing new and repeat business.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations pertaining to civil improvement projects.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • A commitment to fostering a team-oriented environment where all team members feel valued and encouraged to share ideas.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to deliver effective presentations to clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members across multiple locations.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
