Job Description

Job Title: Senior Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Fincantieri Marine Group. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, supervising a team of engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Supervise a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reports, studies, and proposals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Participate in the development of company policies and procedures related to engineering and project management.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a senior engineering role, with a strong background in shipbuilding and marine engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading technical projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Six Sigma or LEAN training.
  • Working knowledge of standard shipbuilding rules and regulations, as well as the associated regulatory agencies and review approval process.
