Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership to the maintenance and Tool and Die department.
  2. Ensure adherence to company safety, health, and environmental protocols, promoting safe work practices and environmental protection in line with company policies and regulations.
  3. Uphold the company's policies, principles, and procedures, including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards.
  4. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and production machinery to identify issues and maintenance needs.
  5. Develop weekly maintenance schedules and assign tasks to team members.
  6. Oversee external tradespeople as required.
  7. Monitor and report on inventory levels of necessary parts, materials, and tools to management.
  8. Ensure that delegated tasks are completed accurately and verify compliance with processes throughout the shift.
  9. Assist production operators with machinery and processes as needed.
  10. Adhere to PPE standards and perform daily checklist duties.
  11. Manage various projects as assigned.
  12. Effectively communicate any arising issues to management.
  13. Ensure safe machine operation by all employees while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  14. Perform additional duties as required.
  15. Act as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when necessary.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment and tools necessary for the role.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent trade school certification.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience operating a forklift or material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Ability to stand and/or bend for extended periods (varies based on daily tasks).
  • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs.
