Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership to the maintenance and Tool and Die department.
  2. Ensure adherence to Company safety, health, and environmental protocols for the team under your direction, promoting safe work practices and environmental protection in line with Company policies and regulations.
  3. Uphold the Company's policies, principles, and procedures, including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards.
  4. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and production machinery to identify issues and maintenance needs.
  5. Develop weekly maintenance schedules and assign tasks to team members.
  6. Oversee external tradespeople as required.
  7. Monitor and report on inventory levels of necessary parts, materials, and tools to management.
  8. Ensure delegated tasks from management are executed correctly and processes are followed throughout the shift.
  9. Assist production operators with machinery and processes as needed.
  10. Maintain compliance with PPE standards and perform daily checklist duties.
  11. Manage various projects as assigned.
  12. Effectively communicate any arising issues to management.
  13. Guarantee safe operation of machinery by all employees while ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  15. Act as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when necessary.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Proficient in operating material handling equipment and tools necessary for tasks.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including overtime and weekends as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent trade school certification.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience operating a forklift or material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must maintain good physical condition.
  • Ability to stand and/or bend for extended periods, depending on daily tasks.
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
