Job Overview
The Multi-Store Asset Protection Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of Asset Protection while aligning with the company's profit goals and customer service standards. This role entails managing multiple locations with a broader scope of responsibilities, which includes higher staffing levels, increased sales volume, and elevated shortage risks. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all security operations to align with company profit objectives and enhance customer service.
- Safeguard and monitor company assets, alarms, property, employees, and visitors by enforcing corporate and security policies.
- Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel, fostering their development for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with Facility Management and Asset Protection teams on shortage and security matters, proposing solutions as necessary.
- Investigate and identify the root causes of shortages within the facility, including potential internal and external dishonest activities.
- Ensure adherence to all corporate security policies and procedures.
- Oversee the secure movement of trailers in and out of the facility.
- Manage security operations, including staff communication, workload balancing, assignments, scheduling, and processing standards.
- Develop and oversee departmental budgets.
- Ensure departmental performance meets or exceeds safety, shortage, cost control, quality, processing standards, and customer service expectations.
- Review and analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecasts to assess departmental progress toward goals.
- Maintain consistent and timely communication with subordinates, peers, and senior management.
- Conduct performance evaluations for security staff.
- Promote a safe working environment by developing and enforcing safety practices.
- Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage security operations, providing direction to align with company objectives.
- Security Management: Expertise in safeguarding company assets and enforcing security policies, including investigating potential dishonest activities.
- Team Development: Proficient in hiring, training, and supervising security staff while promoting individual growth.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with management and security teams on issues and solutions.
- Operational Analysis: Ability to manage security operations and analyze data for informed decision-making to meet performance standards.
