Test Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team at Clareto, a Munich Re company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, with a particular focus on UI conversion and API testability.
This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, primarily using Cypress or Playwright, to ensure the robustness of our applications through both UI and API test coverage. A blend of programming and testing expertise is required to ensure our systems meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web applications using Cypress or Playwright frameworks.
• Focus on automating tests for UI conversion and rendering to ensure user interfaces are consistent and functioning across various browsers and devices.
• Design and implement tests for API validation, ensuring accurate data flow and service functionality.
• Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines for seamless deployment.
• Work closely with software engineers and product teams to identify testing needs early in the development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track bugs, working alongside the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to performance and load testing initiatives to ensure that applications can handle large volumes of users and data.
• Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on testability and automation aspects.
• Help improve test automation frameworks, tools, and processes by researching and integrating industry best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in test automation, with expertise in Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, etc ...PLUS
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in API test automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and testing within DevOps environments.
• Familiarity with UI testing challenges, cross-browser testing, and responsive design.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
