Automation Controls Engineer

As a seasoned Automation Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the implementation of cutting-edge automation technologies across high-profile data centers, manufacturing sites, and various industrial facilities. With extensive travel requirements, approximately 30% of your time will be dedicated to on-site project engagements.
You will bring expertise in platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, Rockwell Studio 5000, Ignition Gold or Core, and similar systems, directly contributing to our clients' operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Commissioning: Lead the startup and verification of PLC and DDC control systems, ensuring reliable performance and smooth integration.
2. Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with engineers, clients, and electrical teams to ensure seamless automation integration.
3. Documentation & Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate, detailed records of system operations and modifications, ensuring all documentation aligns with the project status.
4. On-Site Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to subcontractors, enforce quality control practices, and troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: 2+ years with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley Rockwell Studio 5000, or similar platforms (such as Inductive Automation Ignition, ICONICS).
2. Technical Proficiency: Proven background in PLC installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
3. Specialized Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC control theory, electronics, and electrical circuits.
4. Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and proactively address challenges.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
2. Experience with DDC controls, Modbus, and BACnet protocols.
3. Familiarity with Tridium or other BAS control systems.
4. Experience with Active Directory and SAML 2.0.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and a successful interview.
