About the Scheduling Coordinator II Role

In this critical position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experience while interacting with patients and visitors over the telephone and other communication channels. As a Scheduling Coordinator II, you will provide superior customer service, exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments, consults, and follow-up appointments, ensuring seamless coordination and timely communication.
  • Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information into the practice management system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage prior to appointments, advising patients of any necessary referrals or authorizations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to schedule patients for tests or consults, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Initiate reminder calls for upcoming appointments, enhancing patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor less experienced scheduling coordinators and administrative staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Participate in customer service initiatives, patient satisfaction surveys, and appointment reporting, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of secretarial or clerical experience, preferably in a medical practice environment
