Scheduling Coordinator II

In this critical position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experience while interacting with patients and visitors over the telephone and other communication channels. As a Scheduling Coordinator II, you will provide superior customer service, exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments, consults, and follow-up appointments, ensuring seamless coordination and timely communication.
- Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information into the practice management system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Verify patient insurance coverage prior to appointments, advising patients of any necessary referrals or authorizations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to schedule patients for tests or consults, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
- Initiate reminder calls for upcoming appointments, enhancing patient engagement and satisfaction.
- Train and mentor less experienced scheduling coordinators and administrative staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Participate in customer service initiatives, patient satisfaction surveys, and appointment reporting, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of secretarial or clerical experience, preferably in a medical practice environment
