A leading custom plastic molding organization is seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development to spearhead the growth of their packaging portfolio in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Business Development, this role will be responsible for developing new accounts and expanding existing business through strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential new customers and develop tailored sales strategies to engage them.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
  • Manage and expand business with existing customers, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Generate and pursue new business opportunities through RFQs and other sales channels.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, prospecting activity, and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business or Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in new business development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Extensive knowledge of plastic packaging, particularly in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with customers and partners.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
