FLSA: Hourly Non-exempt

Objective: The Client Support Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering overall well-being by delivering essential emergency and supportive services aimed at alleviating poverty and homelessness. This position is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and serving as a protective measure against challenging life circumstances. The primary responsibilities include providing high-quality social support services, facilitating admissions and intake processes, leading safety multi-support team meetings, and ensuring that the needs of clients are appropriately addressed.

  • Engage with clients and offer exceptional hospitality to all individuals seeking assistance.
  • Conduct admissions and intake processes, utilizing screening tools and providing necessary referrals.
  • Assist Community Resource Navigators in reaching out to clients who may be difficult to contact.
  • Accurately and promptly enter information into the designated software systems.
  • Monitor the safety and flow of the facility.
  • Provide crisis intervention and debriefing support as needed.
  • Encourage clients in achieving their personal goals and milestones.
  • Pursue opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement through training.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma is required, with a preference for experience in mental health or shelter care settings.

Skills and Competencies: Demonstrates adaptability, a positive response to change, outstanding customer service, and professionalism. Capable of working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Certifications and Requirements: Valid Driver's License, Mental Health First Aid Certification, Suicide Prevention Training, and Trauma-Informed Care Training.

Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to fumes, occasional loud noises, biological hazards, and heights. Physical demands include standing, walking, talking, seeing, and hearing, with lifting requirements that can range from sedentary to very heavy work.
