Job Summary

Bishop Drumm Retirement Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activity Director to lead our resident engagement programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being among our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Create and implement a diverse range of activities and events that cater to the interests and needs of our residents, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and educational workshops.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of activity staff to ensure that programs are delivered to a high standard and that residents receive excellent service.
  • Budget Management: Manage the activity budget to ensure that programs are delivered within budgetary guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activity programs comply with relevant regulatory and accrediting standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation (CTRS) or a related field.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in social or recreational programs, preferably in long-term care.
