Operations Director

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Deposit Operations Department and providing support to the Cashier as needed. They will ensure prompt customer service, appropriate staffing, and adherence to established production goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent service to internal and external clients at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments and facilities to advance the overall interests of Community State Bank.
- Support SOX procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, including work instructions and additional resources required.
- Perform duties in the absence of staff or during high-volume activity, including assistance with Wires, IRAs, reconciliations, Lockbox processing, and Bank Closed accounts.
- Manage IRA operations, ensuring accurate completion of IRA forms, documents, and reporting to the IRS.
- Follow retention guidelines for all Bank documents and protect sensitive information according to HIPPA regulations.
- Assist the Cashier with annual testing of Bank's federal funding lines and prepare forms related to the Federal Reserve and other funding sources.
- Prepare audit documentation and responses for internal and external auditors.
- Perform administrative tasks for key platforms, including user access review.
- Assist Treasury Management Operations with projects and reporting needs.
- Maintain education and professional expertise through attendance of job-related seminars, conferences, and workshops.
- Hire, develop, motivate, and train staff, including planning and delegating work assignments and projects.
- Evaluate performance, administer quarterly touch points, and deliver performance evaluations.
- Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable to performance and behaviors aligned with our culture.
- Understand and administer compensation based on a pay for performance philosophy, including merit increases and variable pay.
- Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements applicable to this position.
- Participate in community engagement events, fostering and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or an equivalent of education and experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years prior deposit operations, banking, and supervisory experience preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Capability to utilize various banking software and Microsoft 365 products with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills required with a desire to develop others.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong time management skills with capability to meet deadlines.
- Quick and accurate attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize and manage a variety of projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Capability to manage sensitive information and uphold confidentiality.
- Duties are performed in a professional office environment.
- Overtime may be required to ensure client service standards are met.
- Occasional travel to other bank locations, client location, or workshop location.
- Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, removing, or carrying objects or files.
