Job Summary:

Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents at Simpson Place. We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate CMAs to join our team in Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the 'five rights' of medication administration.
  • Record the administration of medications and/or treatments accurately.
  • Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
  • Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

Requirements:

  • State certification as a nurse aide is required.
  • State-approved medication administration certification.
  • Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nurse aide.
  • Highly developed observation skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
