Job Overview

Anthology Events is in search of a skilled and enthusiastic individual to fulfill the role of a Banquet Server. This position entails the responsibility of serving, passing, or presenting various food items to guests during special occasions. The ideal candidate will exhibit a warm and professional attitude, excel in teamwork, and possess the stamina to remain on their feet for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining area prior to events.
  • Serve hors d'oeuvres and plated meals to attendees.
  • Efficiently transport food from the kitchen to the banquet area.
  • Provide and replenish both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Set up Coffee & Tea Stations as required.
  • Aid in post-event cleanup, inventory management, food storage, and dismantling.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen to gain comprehensive knowledge of the banquet menu.
  • Fully grasp the standards of banquet service.
  • Demonstrate experience and proficiency in fine dining service styles, including setup and breakdown.
  • Maintain polished presentation and effective communication with VIP clients and management.
  • Understand and articulate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Consistently uphold cleanliness within the Event Space.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Event Server in a hotel or banquet environment.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Ability to maintain high energy levels throughout events with clients and staff.
  • Capability to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
