Rock Events is a distinguished team of event professionals specializing in the sale of premier event venues in Detroit. We also provide comprehensive event production, business travel, and hospitality services to Rocket Companies. With over a decade of experience managing some of Detroit's largest events, we pride ourselves on our expertise and dedication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in event and wedding sales
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Position Summary

As an Event Coordination Specialist, you will oversee sales and on-site execution for weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events within our expanding portfolio of venues. You will build and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and partners to ensure successful event management from inception to completion, delivering an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market, sell, and coordinate events in various venues, focusing on weddings and social functions
  • Manage daily operations of events, ensuring seamless setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Guide clients from initial inquiry through event completion, including venue tours, proposal creation, event floor planning, and feedback collection
  • Handle financial aspects of events, including invoicing, payment schedules, and contracts
  • Provide vendor recommendations and ensure compliance with venue policies
  • Collect necessary insurance documentation from clients and vendors
  • Sell beverage packages and maintain knowledge of beverage policies
  • Collaborate with audio-visual, security, parking, and facilities teams to prepare for events
  • Assist in managing marketing materials, including social media and website content
  • Stay updated on industry trends and participate in educational networking opportunities
  • Complete annual compliance training to uphold safety standards
