Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer Installer to provide survey, installation, and configuration assistance for a Wireless Intrusion Detection System at classified customer locations. The ideal candidate will have experience with current installation procedures, including conduit bending and installation, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a mix of business hours and after-hours work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Configuration: Engineers will be responsible for antenna/bracket assembly, installation above drop-ceilings, pulling and terminating ethernet cables, and potentially transporting equipment between buildings.
  • Compliance and Safety: Executing tasks in accordance with all applicable Amentum safety standards.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Performs work in an environment that has a mix of business hours, and after-business hours, depending on customer building availability.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience with current installation procedures, including potential conduit bending and installation is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: This work will require climbing step-ladders up to approximately 10 feet, as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and carry at least 15lbs of equipment.
  • Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance.
  • Skills: Superb analytical and problem-solving skills, great interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities, excellent organizational and time management skills.
