POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and training staff, managing contract documentation, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities within the program. This role guarantees that vocational training and community integration initiatives comply with established standards, including safety regulations and accreditation requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise two Ability One mail service locations, ensuring timely completion of tasks and efficient scheduling.
  • Identify and submit supply requirements for processing.
  • Address facility-related security concerns and collaborate with internal resources for solutions.
  • Coordinate with placement programs to facilitate competitive employment opportunities.
  • Deliver training to both consumers and staff on safety protocols and secure mail handling practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine the best support, training, and accommodations for consumers at their work sites.
  • Maintain effective communication with each client's support team, including Support Coordinators and Guardians.
  • Engage with all stakeholders, including DDD Support Coordination and funding sources, to ensure alignment and support.
  • Execute the Official Mail Center (OMC) contract, working closely with military personnel to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Ensure adherence to OMC and PSC contract requirements, including secure mail handling and compliance processes.
  • Document and report on training program activities.
  • Provide direct client and program service coverage as necessary, maintaining open communication with other staff.
  • Participate in annual Individual Support Plans (ISP) and collaborate with the team to set goals.
  • Review and uphold CARF procedures.
  • May require driving agency or personal vehicles for business purposes.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant work experience may be considered as transferable skills to meet the minimum qualifications for this position, as determined by the Executive Director of Human Resources.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or four years of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities.
  • Two years of supervisory or job coaching experience.
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions and judgments.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Economic Security (DES) and Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) systems.
  • Understanding of the Vocational Rehabilitation system.
  • Ability to obtain a Federal Secret Security clearance.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid).
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening (employer paid).
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Article 9, Prevention and Support Training, and CPR/First Aid Certification (employer paid).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language.
  • Additional years of relevant experience.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Certification in Article 9 and Prevention and Support Training.
  • CESP Certification.
