About the Role

The Operational Governance team at Blue Shield of California is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Analyst to provide project support, operational analysis, and complex process management support for operational teams within the Installation & Billing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review process performance and manage reporting related to key metrics, perform root cause analysis for issues and process trends, and support oversight of automated processes and available tools.
  • Provide analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations.
  • Contribute to annual operating plans, capital budgets, and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis).
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze reports for management review, and present to various levels of management.
  • Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency.
  • Analyze actual results against plan and forecast and recommend interventions where appropriate.
  • Develop as-is process documentation using industry standards and appropriate process mapping tools (i.e. Visio, Provision).
  • Co-facilitate portions of process sessions using proven facilitation techniques and incorporating business process and design knowledge.
  • Maintain online repository of materials in a standardized format for consumption across the enterprise.
  • Execute on control plans, reporting actual results against forecast.
  • May be responsible for BPM functional duties such as reporting and SharePoint administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Yellow or Green Belt for Six Sigma or Lean from a creditable organization is desired.
  • 1 year of advanced knowledge of automated systems in a production or operations environment.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and facilitation skills is desired.
  • Highly developed math, analytical, and problem-solving skills and use of analytical tools.
  • Advanced hands-on experience using Excel including workbook creation and management, complex formatting and formulas, pivot tables, and V-look ups.
  • Hands-on experience using Tableau is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with the FACETS systems preferred.
Pay Range

The pay range for this role is: $69,700.00 to $95,200.00 for California.
