Position Overview:

General Trades Supervisor

Summary:
The General Trades Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the specific trade services provided by Adena Corporation for assigned projects. This role enforces company policies, procedures, and safety standards while ensuring timely project completion.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develops safety plans and promotes safety awareness for the trade-specific aspects of the project

• Coordinates with other trades to ensure safety and efficiency on-site

• Prepares routine project documentation including daily reports, toolbox talks, and hazard analyses

• Monitors crew productivity and project timelines to ensure compliance with production rates

• Regularly reviews project schedules to maintain progress

• Documents any delays, safety issues, or site conditions that may hinder work

• Understands the scope of work and consults with project managers on any additional tasks

• Assesses manpower needs and collaborates with managers to ensure proper staffing

• Evaluates equipment requirements and works with managers to ensure availability

• Leads daily coordination meetings with all trades involved

• Ensures quality control for both self-performed work and subcontracted tasks

• Reviews material deliveries for accuracy and quality

• Organizes and submits delivery documentation to project managers

• Collaborates with project managers on cost control and job cost reports

• Maintains accurate as-built documentation

• Communicates regularly with clients to ensure project satisfaction

• Manages subcontractor relationships in conjunction with project managers

• Adheres to safety policies to foster a secure work environment

• Performs additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

General Trades Supervisor

Qualifications/Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Relevant education or a combination of experience and training that equips the candidate for supervisory duties

• 30 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment

• Proficient in reading building blueprints

• Capable of interpreting and contributing to construction schedules

• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and company safety plans

• Willingness to travel to job sites, including potential overnight stays

• Strong work ethic and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Dependable attendance and consistency

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
