Perimeter Security Partners is seeking a dedicated Mobile Construction Technician with substantial construction expertise to install and maintain security fencing, personnel gates, security bollards, and passive vehicle barrier systems across the United States.

This position involves outdoor work supporting governmental, military, industrial, and commercial clients.

The role may also involve assisting fellow team members with the installation and maintenance of various access control point (ACP) systems nationwide.

The Mobile Construction Technician will engage in a diverse range of construction activities, including:

operating equipment; forming, placing, and finishing concrete; tying reinforcing bars for concrete foundations; layout, installation, and repair of security fencing and gates; demolition and excavation; and other tasks within their skill set as directed.

The Technician will work under the guidance of a Superintendent or Foreman who will provide a daily work plan, conduct safety briefings, and offer on-the-job training to enhance the successful candidate's skills and experience.


Key Responsibilities:

The Mobile Construction Technician must be capable of safely executing construction tasks in outdoor environments according to a daily work plan.

Perform construction duties using a variety of common hand tools, including shovels, picks, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, and prybars.

With appropriate training and certification, safely operate various powered equipment, such as skid steers, shooting boom forklifts, trenchers, concrete saws, and mini-excavators.

Collaborate effectively with other Mobile Construction Technicians to achieve the daily work objectives.

With training and experience, the Technician will saw cut and demolish existing concrete and asphalt surfaces, excavate soil, set and brace barrier/fence systems, place and finish concrete, and assemble gates/fences/barriers.

Uphold all safety standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. Unload materials upon arrival at the job site. Set up and remove traffic control devices, erosion control measures, and temporary fencing as necessary. Excavate, backfill, grade, and compact sites to meet design specifications.

Conduct inspections of equipment, tools, and vehicles prior to use to ensure safety and proper functionality using established checklists.

Maintain and clean tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company policies. Drive company vehicles to and from job sites.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience as a construction tradesperson is required. A valid driver's license is essential. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening to gain access to military installations and similar controlled environments.

Experience in operating powered equipment is preferred. Familiarity with installing various security fencing and gates is advantageous. Experience in placing and finishing reinforced concrete is also preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to waist height. Must be capable of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and have full use of hands, fingers, and arms.


Must be able to work outdoors for up to 60 hours per week in diverse weather conditions. Additional Information: Expect approximately 85% travel, typically for two (2) to three (3) weeks at a time to project sites across the United States.

Employees will receive a company credit card for approved expenses (e.g., hotel, fuel, tools, and materials). A fixed per diem to cover meals and expenses is also provided.

Hands-on and other training opportunities are available to enhance skills and increase proficiency with a wide range of physical security infrastructure equipment.
