About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerial Foreman to join our team at TransForce. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, including the placement of telephone poles and anchors, and the operation of equipment such as bucket trucks and posthole diggers.
  • Aerial Tasks: Perform aerial tasks such as new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, lashing, and other related activities.
  • Construction Work: Perform construction work such as digging holes, placing cable, pulling cable in various types of conduit systems and open excavations.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all installation work is done according to quality standards, and that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise employees and direct them in their work, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Work Experience: Previous experience working in telecommunications, with a focus on aerial construction and installation.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use manual tools such as shovels, posthole diggers, and other handheld tools, as well as knowledge of telecommunications industry practices and procedures.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to direct and motivate employees.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with a valid Class A CDL and OSHA 10 and 30 certifications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with telecommunications industry software and systems, as well as the ability to use email and other digital tools.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to direct and motivate employees.
