Position Overview:
The General Trades Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the specific trade services provided by Adena Corporation for assigned projects. This role enforces company policies, procedures, and safety standards while ensuring project timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops safety plans and promotes safety awareness for the trade-specific scope of the project.
• Coordinates with other trades to ensure a safe working environment for all crews.
• Prepares routine project documentation, including daily reports, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.
• Monitors crew productivity and tracks units installed to ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Regularly reviews project schedules to maintain or improve timelines.
• Documents any delays, safety issues, or site conditions that may impact work performance.
• Understands the scope of work and consults with project management on any additional tasks.
• Assesses manpower needs and collaborates with manpower managers to ensure proper staffing.
• Evaluates equipment requirements and works with equipment managers to secure necessary tools on-site.
• Facilitates daily coordination meetings with all trades involved.
• Ensures quality control for both self-performed work and subcontracted services.
• Reviews all material deliveries for accuracy and quality, reporting any discrepancies.
• Organizes and submits all delivery documentation to the project manager.
• Collaborates with project management to review job costs and manage project budgets.
• Maintains accurate as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicates regularly with clients to ensure project expectations are met.
• Coordinates subcontractor management with project management.
• Adheres to safety policies to foster a secure work environment.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Relevant education or a combination of experience, education, and training that equips the candidate to fulfill foreman responsibilities.
• 30 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Proficient in reading building blueprints and construction schedules.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and company safety plans.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, including potential overnight stays.
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Dependable attendance and consistency in work schedule.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
