Underground Telecommunications Labor Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Labor Specialist to assist in our mission to enhance telecommunications infrastructure across the nation. The Labor Specialist will perform essential labor tasks related to the construction of underground telecommunications systems under the guidance of the Foreman/Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all aspects of underground construction, including but not limited to:
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering various construction materials and equipment.
  • Excavating using both hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Installing and maintaining underground telecommunications cabling.
  • Safely operating heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Working in both congested and remote locations.
  • Maintaining visual and audible contact with team members and surrounding personnel to ensure safe operations.
  • Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining safe working conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Basic knowledge of utility trucks and equipment operation.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment.
  • Capability to read and interpret utility maps and prints.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
  • Willingness to work weekends, respond to emergencies, or be on-call.
