About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. As a key member of our Air & Missile Defense Software Department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing real-time embedded software, application software, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the requirements, design, development, and testing of software solutions.
  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
  • Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
  • Work closely with the Software Development Team to ensure seamless integration of software components.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on real-time embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience designing and developing real-time embedded software.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle, and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation.
