As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex controls system design, instrumentation specification, and project management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Project Lead:** Oversee all Controls and Instrumentation components, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.
- **System Design:** Create overall system design based on client requirements, incorporating industry best practices and standards.
- **Equipment Specification:** Specify control system equipment and materials, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- **Instrumentation Support:** Provide technical support for instrumentation specification, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- **Design Review:** Review control panel design, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- **Scope Development:** Generate scopes of work and procure vendor bids for assigned projects or proposals.
- **Vendor Management:** Review vendor submittals for compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- **Site Startup:** Lead and/or execute pre-FAT/FAT on OEM or customer-supplied equipment, ensuring smooth site startup activities.
- **Troubleshooting:** Troubleshoot traditional analog and discrete signals, as well as other communication types, using a multimeter and DCS/PLC platform software.
- **Quality Control:** Enforce quality control measures to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Requirements:
- **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in chemical, electrical, or computer engineering.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in process automation, with a strong background in controls system design and instrumentation specification.
- **Skills:** Practical knowledge of design and requirements engineering, understanding of system design and system architecture, and ability to interpret P&ID's, electrical schematics, and loop drawings.
- **Software:** Working knowledge of AutoCAD software and Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, Access, Project).
