Key Responsibilities- Participate in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
- Work closely with the Software Development Team to ensure seamless integration of software components.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of experience.
- Experience in developing software using object-oriented C/C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps, and test automation.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience designing and developing real-time embedded software.
- Experience with Network Communication Protocols, Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, software debuggers, and using embedded RTOSs (e.g. VxWorks, Integrity).
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle, and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.
