About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Air & Missile Defense Software Department, you will play a critical role in developing software in support of new system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review software requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
  • Develop clear and concise test objectives that guide the testing process and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Create innovative and effective test cases, both manual and automated, based on test objectives.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new and modified software in our on-site lab environment.
  • Analyze test results in relation to specified requirements and clearly document any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other test engineers and developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality of software products.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with software engineering, validation, verification, requirements analysis, and/or testing.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Prior experience within Patriot software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Raytheon software development process is also helpful.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to identify and document any anomalies or inconsistencies in software performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and address issues.
  • Competence in using various testing tools and methodologies. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is an advantage. Familiarity with DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) is a bonus.
