About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Tender Greens. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of daily restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
  • Lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and direct food preparation, coordinating food production schedules and ensuring the highest level of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for new team members, ensuring they meet the highest standards of culinary excellence.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Conduct regular line checks and oversee kitchen checklists to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with daily administrative duties, including scheduling, payroll, and employee relations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Hospitality, Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and their practical application.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, vendors, and guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to ongoing culinary development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs, and Aloha Point of Sale.
  • Food Safety Manager certification and ability to manage store operations independently.
