We are currently looking for an IE Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED). This role is pivotal in driving clean energy demonstration initiatives in collaboration with the private sector, aiming to enhance deployment, market acceptance, and a fair transition to a decarbonized energy framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide insights, guidance, and report findings to senior officials within the Department of Energy.
- Lead and manage an engineering team focused on the assessment and supervision of substantial energy or energy-related infrastructure initiatives.
- Oversee project financing, innovative technology demonstrations, supply chain logistics, and the intricate management of technology integration, construction, startup, and initial operations of energy projects or similar facilities.
- Assess the reliability and efficiency of systems, utilizing probabilistic and statistical methodologies pertinent to risk evaluations, fault tree analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis, ensuring operational reliability and safety.
- Guarantee that reports and deliverables align with established expectations.
- U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain client-issued Public Trust.
- A minimum of 12 years of senior-level experience in managing and directing an engineering organization focused on large-scale energy or energy-related infrastructure projects.
- Experience in the Clean Energy sector is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid grasp of fundamental business writing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
