Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist dentists during procedures
- Take x-rays and prepare materials and equipment for treatment
- Assist with laboratory work and other related duties
- Administrative Support
- Make appointments and answer phone calls
- Order supplies and perform dental billing
- Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of RDA experience
- Medical Technology knowledge
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Registered Dental Assistant license and CPR certification
- Valid California Driver's License and vehicle
- Additional Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to the exit clerk
- Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels
- Complete x-rays and sterilize instruments
- Instruct patients on postoperative care
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Maintain logs and inventory of dental supplies
- Place orders for dental supplies
- Demonstrate oral hygiene care procedures
- Perform prophylaxis and apply fluoride treatment
- Record patient charting and doctor notes
- Act in accordance with State and Federal regulations
- Clean operatory and maintain compliance with regulations
- Electronic Health Record inputting
- Attend meetings and trainings
