Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant Floater to join our team at St. John's Community Health. As a Dental Assistant Floater, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist licensed dentists in performing dental procedures, prepare patients for treatment, and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
  • Office Duties: Perform clerical functions, manage dental records, and maintain inventory of dental supplies.
  • Lab Duties: Prepare and take X-rays, process films, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Education and Training: Instruct patients on post-treatment care, demonstrate oral hygiene care procedures, and provide training to new staff members.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate patient records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a dental assisting program.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a dental office setting, with strong charting and documentation skills.
  • Licensure/Certification: OSHA certification, CPR license, and X-ray radiation license.
  • Language: Bilingual English/Spanish (required), and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
