Job Summary

The Medical Assistant Floater plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of our team, you will assist with various healthcare services, including obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies, and performing administrative functions under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients, take vital signs, and record information
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination and maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by a physician
  • Provide translation services for providers and arrange for translation services as needed
  • Travel between clinic sites to cover staffing shortages and provide back-up support to front desk responsibilities

Requirements:

  • MA Medical Assistant Certificate
  • Two years' experience in the field
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and strong charting/documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment
