JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is dedicated to providing engineering and technical support across various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II. Our mission is to develop and sustain realistic, integrated testing and training environments, preparing our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapon systems, and aircrews for current missions and future global challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a technical advisor on projects, overseeing development, scheduling, project management, and system installations.
  • Establish test objectives, determine instrumentation and data requirements, draft test planning documents, schedule program activities, conduct test missions, analyze data, and compile results into comprehensive test reports and presentations.
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a liaison for test activities, design reviews, and technical meetings to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management teams to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering documentation standards and testing procedures.
  • Prepare and present technical papers and conduct engineering studies.

TECHNICAL POSITION DETAILS
  • Analyze compatibility requirements for aircraft/store integration and the release/launch of Armament Systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Integrate weapons and carriage systems into aircraft Operational Flight Programs (OFPs).
  • Manage updates and assessments of mission planning systems to support weapon system planning activities.
  • Participate in aircraft integration meetings and testing activities to ensure successful implementation of weapon and carriage systems.
  • Engage in airworthiness certification activities, including testing participation, flight clearance, and development of technical reports.
  • Evaluate system interfaces, including aircraft and ground subsystem interfaces, ensuring interoperability within the network.
  • Provide real-time support for flight tests from a mission control environment.
  • Possess the ability to interpret data formats and code in Python.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master of Science in engineering. Candidates should have a solid understanding of engineering principles and familiarity with related fields. Practical knowledge of testing methods and the ability to prepare and modify standard test procedures are essential. Proficiency in computer systems and engineering tools, along with strong planning and organizational skills, is required. A valid state-issued driver's license is necessary, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $81,723 and $110,157 annually. JT4, LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, health savings accounts, disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Additionally, tuition reimbursement is available.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This role typically involves an office environment with standard conditions. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required, along with routine travel to various work locations. Employees are expected to adhere to operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements related to their roles.
