JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is engaged in providing engineering and technical assistance to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II. Our mission is to develop and sustain realistic, integrated testing and training environments, preparing our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapon systems, and aircrews for current missions and future global challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a technical consultant on projects, overseeing a comprehensive program that includes development, scheduling, project management, and system installation.
  • Establish test objectives, identify instrumentation and data needs; create test planning documents; schedule program activities; plan and execute test missions; analyze data outcomes; and compile results in test reports, statistical evaluations, and presentation briefings.
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; act as a liaison for test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management teams to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering documentation standards and testing protocols.
  • Prepare and present technical papers and conduct engineering studies.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
  • Analyze aircraft/store compatibility requirements for the safe carriage and release of Armament Systems, adhering to MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553, and Universal Armament Interface (UAI) protocols.
  • Integrate weapons and carriage systems into aircraft and airborne platform Operational Flight Programs (OFPs).
  • Manage the development and assessment of proposed changes to mission planning systems, such as the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS).
  • Participate in aircraft integration activities and meetings to ensure effective integration and operational use of weapon and carriage systems.
  • Engage in airworthiness certification activities, including testing, flight clearance, and development of technical reports and data analysis packages.
  • Evaluate system and subsystem interfaces, including aircraft and ground subsystem interfaces, ensuring interoperability within the network.
  • Provide real-time support for flight tests from a mission control environment.
  • Possess knowledge of reading bit data, binary, hex, embedded systems, and bus data hierarchy, with coding abilities in Python.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and 14 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master of Science in engineering with at least 10 years of experience, or a doctoral degree in engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience. A well-established professional reputation in one or more principal technical disciplines is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead senior technical personnel in complex system or process assignments, exhibit superior communication skills, and possess planning and organizational abilities. A valid state-issued driver's license and eligibility for a government security clearance are required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The anticipated salary range for this position is $126,734 to $160,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, health savings accounts, disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Immediate vesting and tuition reimbursement are also available.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily office-based with occasional travel to remote work locations. The role requires routine lifting (up to 20 pounds), prolonged sitting, and constant use of computer systems, along with mental alertness and effective communication skills.
