Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Systems Architecture Engineer II who will play a crucial role in delivering technical support to NAVWAR.


Position Overview:

This role involves conducting efforts in military systems, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, or computer concepts, as well as complex circuit design, testing, and integration.

The engineer will provide technical leadership and project management for high-level system and component design engineering, integration/interface design engineering, and the creation and verification of test plans and procedures.

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of military system performance specifications, operational requirements, and interface design configurations across various functional areas.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design hardware or software specifications, and plan and execute systems integration.
  • Utilize specialized diagnostic instruments to create performance specifications and analyze test data.
  • Conduct engineering studies to identify optimal hardware configurations, material characteristics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform engineering analyses to select the most suitable manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes, ensuring durability and strength in design.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Experience in Systems Engineering plans and processes, as well as Operational Requirements Analysis, is essential.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience in technical documentation review, including test plans and various engineering documents.

Experience in system solutions, design, and architecture is also required, along with expertise in product engineering design and production best practices.

Familiarity with determining testing levels necessary to validate operational concepts and ensure compliance with performance specifications and cybersecurity controls is expected.

Experience in acquisition technology gap analysis and technology transition plan development is essential.


Security Clearance:

An Active Secret DoD security clearance is mandatory, with the potential for Top Secret/SCI clearance if required.


Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be necessary, comprising less than 10% of the role.

If travel involves domestic flights or access to secure federal facilities, candidates must obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials.


Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position include remaining stationary for extended periods, using hands for various tasks, and the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
