JOB OVERVIEW
JT4, LLC is engaged in providing comprehensive engineering and technical assistance to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a technical advisor on projects, overseeing a wide-ranging program that includes development, scheduling, project management, and system installations.
  • Establish test objectives, determine instrumentation and data requirements; draft test planning documents; organize program activities; execute test missions; analyze data outcomes; and compile results in detailed test reports and presentations.
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; serve as a liaison for test activities, design evaluations, and technical meetings to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with various engineering, logistics, financial, and program management teams to clarify system specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering documentation standards and testing protocols.
  • Prepare and present technical papers and conduct engineering analyses.

TECHNICAL PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Contribute to the formulation of technical proposals and provide insights on the technical aspects and scope of work.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned technical projects and keep management informed of progress to align with project operations.
  • Conduct site assessments and experimental evaluations, analyze engineering challenges, propose solutions, and offer recommendations.
  • Develop, interpret, and enforce technical and administrative operating policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SPECIFIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Provide expertise in evaluating aircraft/store compatibility for the carriage and release of Armament Systems in accordance with relevant military standards.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of electrical interface logic and experience with aircraft and store electrical power and avionics systems.
  • Oversee the integration of weapons and carriage systems into aircraft Operational Flight Programs (OFPs).
  • Manage the development and assessment of mission planning systems to facilitate effective mission planning for weapon systems.
  • Participate in aircraft integration activities and meetings to ensure successful execution of weapon and carriage systems.
  • Engage in airworthiness certification activities, including testing participation, flight clearance, and development of technical reports.
  • Evaluate system interfaces, including aircraft and ground subsystem interfaces, ensuring interoperability within the network.
  • Provide real-time support for flight tests from a mission control environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting data formats and coding in Python.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master of Science in engineering with at least two years of related experience, or a doctoral degree in engineering.

Candidates must demonstrate mastery of engineering concepts and practices, enabling them to serve as a technical authority on relevant projects. Proficiency in applying the latest engineering developments to solve specialized problems is essential, along with strong communication and analytical skills.

Applicants should have a working knowledge of computer systems and engineering tools, as well as planning and organizational skills. The role may require troubleshooting and designing solutions for operational hardware and software issues.

A valid state-issued driver's license is required, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, up to top secret with special access. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $91,748 and $135,200 annually. JT4, LLC considers various factors when determining salary offers, including position responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is conducted in a standard office setting with minimal hazards.
