JT4, LLC is engaged in providing engineering and technical assistance to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, commonly referred to as J-Tech II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a technical advisor on projects, overseeing a comprehensive program that includes development, scheduling, project management, and system installation.
  • Establish test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements; draft test planning documents; organize program activities; execute test missions; analyze data; and compile results in test reports, statistical evaluations, and presentation briefings.
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; serve as a liaison for test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management teams to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering documentation standards and testing protocols.
  • Prepare and present technical papers and conduct engineering studies.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Maintain technical project oversight for assigned tasks and keep management informed of progress in alignment with the technical and administrative direction of project operations.
  • Conduct site assessments and experimental investigations, analyze engineering challenges, propose solutions, and provide recommendations.
  • Develop, interpret, and enforce technical and administrative operating policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Provide expertise in evaluating aircraft/store compatibility requirements for the captive carriage and release/launch of Armament Systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Integrate weapons and carriage systems into aircraft and airborne platform Operational Flight Programs (OFPs).
  • Manage the development, updates, and assessments of proposed changes to mission planning systems to facilitate mission planning for weapon systems.
  • Participate in aircraft integration activities and meetings to ensure effective integration and operational use of weapon and carriage systems.
  • Engage in airworthiness certification activities, including testing, flight clearance, and development of technical reports and data analysis packages.
  • Evaluate system and subsystem interfaces, focusing on aircraft interfaces and ground subsystem interactions.
  • Provide real-time support for flight tests from a mission control environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading bit data, binary, hex, and embedded systems, with the ability to code in Python.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with 14 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master of Science in engineering with at least 10 years of experience, or a doctoral degree in engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience. A well-established professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the company is essential. Candidates must exhibit the ability to lead senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration, and sustainment of complex systems or processes. Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective project activities, customer briefings, and report writing. Candidates must possess planning and organizational skills, along with a working knowledge of computer systems and engineering tools. Eligibility for a government security clearance and a valid state-issued driver's license are mandatory. U.S. citizenship is required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The expected salary range for this position is $126,734 to $160,000 annually. JT4, LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, health savings accounts, disability insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) plan options with employer matching. Immediate vesting and tuition reimbursement are also available.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily office-based with standard office hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), prolonged sitting, and frequent use of computer terminals are required. Routine travel to remote work locations may be necessary.
