About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at BCI Construction INC. in central Minnesota. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Actively collaborate and direct project teams to determine and define the scope of work and deliverables for each project.
  • Budget Management: Build and actively manage the budget for each project, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that the project stays within budget.
  • Resource Management: Manage and coordinate necessary resources, including budgets, materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors, throughout the duration of the project.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements that fit the scope of work and budget.
  • Communication: Consistent and frequent communication with key stakeholders regarding project progress, schedule, and budget throughout the duration of the project.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and manage client relationships for existing and upcoming work that aligns with BCI Construction INC.'s corporate goals.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build key relationships with vendors and subcontractors to present BCI Construction INC. with more opportunities, more competitive proposals, and more effective work.
  • Project Documentation: Manage and create project documents, including project plans, specifications, shop drawings, and change documents.
  • Preconstruction and Closeout: Attend preconstruction and closeout meetings to disseminate all necessary project documentation.
  • Project Scheduling: Build and manage project schedules to be delivered on time, per contract and commitments.
  • Change Management: Administer change processes per current company standards.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Ensure QA/QC processes are performed throughout the project, including permit procurement, independent testing, inspections, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, or similar experience/skill sets
  • Skills: Strong knowledge in PDF Suite such as Bluebeam Revu, relevant experience working inside of an advanced financial management software, ability to quickly learn takeoff software and Database programs such as On-Screen Takeoff by On Center Software and Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate
  • Personal Qualities: A strong moral compass, ability to maintain organization and efficiencies with time and resources, ability to speak the English language competently, ability to sit and safely operate a vehicle for long periods of time
Preferred Requirements
  • Project Management Administration Software: Experience with Project Management Administration Software such as ProCore
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project
